Another work of altered currency from my Rebellion series to be exhibited at the Museo del Brigantaggioin August with the Ali Ribelli art collective. Book Covers: Lost Tribe of the Alleghenies

Cover Layout for Lost Tribe of the Alleghenies by Alan MargolisWhen I have a break from my day job and art creations, I take on side projects to do illustrations and designs for fellow artists and writers like a flyer for a show by local sculptor Mike Sirvet or contributing illustrations for a book by education nonprofit NumbersAlive!

Most recently, I designed the cover for The Lost Tribe of the Alleghenies, a wonderful novel by local Washington, DC author Alan Margolis. I thought I’d share with you the final design (featured above) and some of my early prototypes (below) we mulled over. Interested in buying his book? You can get it online at Politics & Prose!

Artomatic!

Image

I’m excited to announce I’ll be at Artomatic this year! This year it is across the street from the Crystal City metro at 1851 S. Bell Street from May 18th till June 23rd. I carved up a dimly lit corner for a mini-show of new and old works on the 3rd floor – Room 300.

Artomatic, for those that don’t know, is a multi-week, multimedia arts event held in the Washington, DC where artists, performers, and creative types take over an underused building and turn it into an arts venue.  For more information go to http://artomatic.org/.

Please come and look for me! I will try to be there on opening night and will tweet about other times I’ll be there! I appreciate your support.

Thanks!

Adam

More Bogota Watercolors

Sorry the blog has been dead for a bit! I lost my camera then re-found it after a month – very typical.

Anyways, here are some recent-ish works that I have made. Most are watercolors I did while in Bogotá. I’ll be posting a good backlog all week. Enjoy!

Online Portfolio

Just a really quick update.

I finally had a chance to create a better, static online portfolio page! Check it out at www.adamchamy.com.

I will continue updating the blog when new works become available. But now there will be this static page so you can easily view past works, exhibitions, events, etc.

Let me know what you think!

Regards!

-Adam
