Please join me at Flying Fish Coffee & Tea THIS FRIDAY – June 17th from 5:30-7:30pm to celebrate the work of local DC artists Adam Chamy & Jessica Shull. This is your _last chance_ to see this body of work exhibited at Flying Fish Coffee.
Adam Chamy is known for works that re-imagine genre scenes and portraiture
into conceptually rich art. Taking inspiration from discarded photographs
and unusual found materials, his current works explore themes ranging from
the dialogue between modernity and spirituality to the politics of identity.
Chamy lives and practices in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Washington,
DC. His works have exhibited across the United States and abroad including
the the Touchstone Gallery in Washington, DC, GaleriaZero in Barcelona,
Spain, and the Dallas Museum of Art in Dallas, Texas.
Jessica Shull is a medical illustrator who has worked in Trento, Italy
and Geneva, Switzerland. Her current work focuses on physiology of the body
and cellular processes outside our control.
